Blog Writing Review

  This year, since January till November, I've written altogether 10 blogs, in the progress of writing blog, I've met a lot of problems but lastly solved it. It was my first time doing this kind of work, I felt that I've learnt a lot from it and has made it as a habit.

  I don't really enjoy writing blog because I always ran out my idea about what to write. It's also a bit boring since you need to sit for like half an hour to think and write. The most interesting part is adding images into it because it made my blog prettier and more interesting.

 Last, I hope next year I'll keep continue writing blog to make my life more awesome.

A letter?

    In August, Our teacher Miss Tina asked us to write a letter for our senior. The content is about how to improve our result in English subject. I am really happy to write letter because letter writing wasn't very popular nowadays. I've never written a letter before and sent it to my cousin around the world. So this time was a great chance for me.

  I've written my basic ways to learn English and improve English. The most effective ways for me is watching Youtube. Youtube is a good multimedia to learn English. It has a lot of English learning videos that can help us on English subject.

  My senior also replied me with a long letter writing that she agree watching Youtube is a good way to improve English. She also suggest me to read some easy English book without straight reading those hard ones.

  At last, I think this letter writing was a good experience for me and I would like to try it next year.

Enjoying it!

  Last month an amazing activity has given by teacher. The activity is called Fairy Tale 2017. Basically we just need to create a whole new fairy tale or change the scene of existed fairy tale. It really need alot of creative thinking in order to present a good work.

  This time teacher arrange our teammates without let us arrange it by ourselves. The purpose of it is to let us to cooperate with new friends. First, we discuss what story we want to do and we came out with three little pigs plus the red riding hood. Next, we write the script in order to let us practice with it. We finished it within 2 days so I think it wasn't very well. I also missed the period that we write script because of the practice of 70th school anniversary drama, so I felt a little bit guilty and sad.

  At the presentation day, we present it as usual but we did not did it very well since lack of practices. In addition, I also enjoy it very much since it's the first time we doing this kind of activity. Last, I hope we can do better next time and pay more effort in it.

A short play

  In August teacher has given an interesting activity, it's a short play. Our group has chosen 'Canada Can Wait' as our play topic. It's a play that one guy wanted to expose to the world and chatting with his friends. As this play has 6 characters so it suits for our 6 members.

  This activity is kind of easy as the dialog has already given in the book, so we just need to memorize it and perform. I felt that this play was really boring because it's just talking with each other, it doesn't need to act much thought. So I don't really enjoy it, but I still tried to do my best as it's an important work.

  At last, I hope that our group can consider more while chosing the topic because I don't want this happen to me anymore.

Oral test again ?!?!

  This month I'm going to face the second oral test of the year. The title is giving description means that describe something. It can humans, animals, non-living things, panorama or anything. It's an interesting title because we can choose what we want to describe, and most important is teacher wanted us to use adjectives as much as we could.

  The first idea came out of my mind was the rabbit in my house. It's a cute animal that I've adopted for 5 years. It has white fur and few brown dots, it also like to eat carrots and vegetables when it's hungry. I like it especially when it's hopping around my garden, because it's really a cute movement for a small creature.

  When the test is going on, I just tried my best and split out all the words in my mind as much as I could because teacher doesn't want us to memorize the script that we've written. So I just do the test without any nervous or emotion because it's just like chatting. Teacher also asked a lot of questions and I answered it immediately.

  Last, I hope teacher is satisfied with my 'performance' and give comments to me to improve my oral skill.

A Poster?!?!

  It's the month that we have a big big project. In addition, it's also a competition. The project is making a beautiful poster. The title of the poster is 'My School'.

  First, we've group up into a 5 people group, then we discuss what we want to do for our project. We've think out a lot of ideas but we finally chosen one that we all liked. The content is about our school societies. Our school have a lot of societies but we have chosen 3 society that we're used to so we can easily find information about it. The 3 society are Dance Society, Lion Dance and Symphonic Band. We've distributed all the works perfectly and we all started to do research.

  The progress of poster making was quite long because of the design and description thinking, but all matters doesn't matter us from completing the project. I was quite proud that our group members did their job great and did it on time. I would like to thanks my group members of what they did. Last, I hope we can win the competition and get good marks on the poster.

We made it !

  It's finally the month that our group doing the presentation of the PBL project. Our game was Gesture and Bingo. First, we just play the video that we've made to let our friends see how to play it, It's basically the rules of the game.
 
After that, we've started the game by dividing them into two groups. Each group gets a bingo card board to play. Two groups take turns to come out and choose their vocab from us and do gesture to let two groups guess. The group who guesses it correct have a chance to pick a number for their advantage in the bingo card board. Whenever they got the correct answer, two groups would have to slash the number they've chosen.
 
The game took about 1 period but it haven't end. So we decided to see how many BINGO alphabet they've done to announce the winner. Overall, the progress was fun and it's fresh too. I think it's a bit boring but I hope we can do it better next time. Last, I've shared the feedback link to all my friends to let them tell us what to improve.

The New Activity ?!?

It's the third month of my english lesson, there's something special coming out this month that surprised me. It was the PBL project. The first moment teacher announce this project, I was like shocked because I never do that before in my life. It's an activity that we group up and create games about english vocab or grammar for the students to play and enjoy. I think it was a pretty good idea of activity because it's not dull and exciting. We could learn english by playing and thinking without sitting on the chair listen to teacher speaking. I know that nobody likes to sit on the chair for 2 periods to listen teacher speaking.

In this activity, I've grouped up with 3 other members in my class, one boy and two girls. I hope that we finish this project as fast as possible without delaying works. I also hope that our teamwork will be great. Last, I hope everyone would enjoy when it's the presenting day !

Interesting Activity!

  This month teacher have organized an interesting activity for our class. The activity is forum. This activity is common since I entered Hin Hua High School, almost every year we did this type of thing so I ain't feeling weird about it. First, I've joined a group of five and discuss about the title of the forum this time. Then, we've chosen what character we want to do and find our script as fast as possible so we have the time to practice. We practiced few times but still not really good as we expected but we never give up and keep practicing to do better.

 At the presentation day, we've been chosen as the first group to present. I feel really nervous when teacher called us but I tried to control my feeling. I try to clear the nervous feeling and let my mind focus on the forum. My role in the forum is a parent of a student in school, I am giving my opinion about morning session class as a parent. When it's my turn, I try my best to do as well as I can to not disappoint my group mates. Although I've looked at the script while I was talking but overall it was okay. I'm really thankful to be in such a good group cause they did really well in their role.

  

Conclusion, I'd like to thanks teacher for organizing this activity so I can improve my English speaking ability more. I hope there's more interesting activity soon, I'll be looking forward for it though.

Senior English Lesson !

It's 2017 now, I've been arranged into S1Manchester this year. Same as last three year, Manchester class too, is it a coincidence? I think so. So it's my pleasure to meet my new English teacher, Ms Tina who is going to teach me English for whole year. To be honest, I'm really looking forward to it, it must be really interesting and fun. In the first month, I've learn a few new knowledge like relative clauses and etc... I've also done a mini project that given by teacher too. The project is really fun because we need to mix a sport and a game together and make a poster. This project was done by team so I've learnt how to communicate with new partners.
